Parish Clerk – Shillingstone

Parish Clerk required for Shillingstone Parish Council, working from home for 12 hours a week. The job gives great flexibility as to when the hours are worked.

The successful applicant will be required to provide professional support and guidance in respect of all aspects of the Council’s work including acting as the Council’s Responsible Financial Officer. A copy of the job specification is available on our web site

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with good interpersonal, verbal, written and IT skills, ideally with some experience, although a full handover will be given by the current Clerk. The Clerk will be required to attend monthly Parish Council meetings which are usually held on the first Thursday of each month (no meeting in August).

The successful candidate will either have or be prepared to obtain within a reasonable timescale the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification. Salary scale is LC2 (18-32) currently between £ 16.35 to £ 22.20 per hour, depending on experience.
