Shillingstone Church Centre


The Shillingstone Church Centre was created in 2011 from the old and much-loved Victorian primary school, and provides facilities for meetings, activities as well as social events.

The SCC is used by the community for children and youth groups, artist exhibitions, Parish Council meetings as well as church functions, training, meetings & conferences.

The SCC is located on the A357 opposite the Village War Memorial and backs onto the Church of the Holy Rood and has been adapted and converted for use as a centre to support and extend the mission of the church by practical means for church and community groups.

When not used by the Church or for community functions it is available for private hire for meetings, small parties, discussion groups, children’s parties, craft groups and much more!

Facilities include:

  • Reddaway Room: A comfortable seating area perfect for meetings or other informal gatherings and social events
  • Powell Hall: a seating capacity of 48 for a dining event, 60 for a lecture/presentation or standing capacity of 75 for buffet style events. There is a projector and wall screen.
  • Library
  • Kitchen: with a cooker, fridge, water heater and tea and coffee making facilities. Crockery/cutlery and glasses are also available for hire.
  • Children Play Area
  • Large Car Park

The centre opens as a Post Office to the Shillingstone community between 13:30 - 15:30 hrs every Tuesday and Thursday, also allowing access to a community library and Terracycle recycling.
